"VETERANS ART"

Veterans free art instruction here at WHAM. Our program, “Veteran Art: A Path to Healing” is now in its ninth year. WHAM’s professional artists instruct classes in drawing, clay sculpture, metal art to name a few. Veterans will enjoy four hours of learning and fellowship in a stress-free environment. They will also be served lunch while they are in attendance. All supplies are provided by the program.

This program is open to all veterans, no matter where they reside.
Participants will be asked to register, even though there is no fee, to help us plan for class size and space needed.

Connie Whitlock, WHAM founder and Executive Director, said “The Veteran Art: A Path to Healing” program has been so successful. Seeing the caliber of art work each of the veterans creates is so heart warming considering few of them have any previous art experience. When I hear their stories of how this program has helped them individually, it makes all of our efforts worthwhile.

Marty Wolfe, WHAM Staff Member, is the director for the Veterans Art events at WHAM. She has been devoted to this worthwhile program for many years. Veterans art classes take place at the WHAM Art Center monthly on the second Monday and the fourth Thursday from 10am to 2pm.

We are pleased to announce that WHAM will be holding Veterans Art in Goodyear, AZ at the Loma Linda Community Center.

Sessions at this location will be held monthly on the third Monday from 10am to 2pm.
