Oral History Series 3.jpg
At WHAM, we understand the power of storytelling and its ability to bring people together. This Oral History Series is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the art of spoken word and to experience history in a whole new way. The premier showing will feature the amazing stories produced by Vicki Hunt and filmed and edited by Nicholas Serpa.

A note from Vicki ---

I sincerely hope each of you will be able to come and experience personally what a taste there exists in Peoria for preserving its history by telling the story of those who lived it. Vicki

Vicki Hunt, a former city council member of Peoria, will be sharing these amazing stories with us. After serving on the Peoria City Council for sixteen years and after retiring in 2023, Vicki is excited to be a part of WHAM's premier showing of the first three stories in our Oral History Series. Our aim is to inspire and entertain our viewers, and we can't wait for you to experience it!

The next set of three oral histories will be presented March 13, 2024 in the Calderwood Room of the Peoria Community Center    7-9 p.m.

The Oral History Series began with the initial episode that introduced and presented stories by Bob and Betty Osbourne, Ervin Cutright and Sammy Chagolla.

Below is a link to the Independent Newspaper article about this first episode.

The second episode in the Oral History Series drew an even larger gathering of people to hear stories as told by Martha Dennis, Jan and Manny Delgado, and Elmar Cobos.
