"MIC DRIP NIGHTS"

We are expanding the literary arts at wham to include free workshops to learn how to write and speak in public. 

There are two locations where the workshops are presented.

MIC DRIP is every Tuesday evening from 6pm to 7:30pm in the Café 60 on the Ottawa Campus in the Surprise City Hall, 16000 N Civic Center Plaza, Surprise 85374

from October 3rd through December 5th.

MIC DROP is every Thursday evening from 6pm to 7pm at the Willow Theater in The Peoria Main Library, 8463 W Monroe St, Peoria 85345

from October 5th through December 7th

       The public is welcome to these events and are encouraged to participate with poetry, songs, jokes, and stories. Maggie Gautier, the M.C. on Fridays is also

           the workshop facilitator for the two new programs.  She explains; “A Poetry Slam is more of a competition and the goal has always been to encourage

people of all ages, from beginners to pro’s, to participate in the spoken word medium of their choice. 

It’s for this reason it was decided to change the name to broaden the scope of participants and audience by making it clear all are welcome.
