Dick Ryan will accompany the two potters: Dick goes to the village of Mata Ortiz frequently and has brokered the work of the village potters for many years. Many of the famous reduction fired work (black on black) will be available for sale, as well as some oxidation (pale colored clay with colored lines and shapes). The renowned work of the Mata Ortiz potters can be seen at the Heard Museum, both in the permanent collection as well as in the gift shop. It is characterized by its glossy finish and obsessively detailed surfaces
