day in the life of a wham docent

Linda Stahl, WHAM docentLinda Stahl, WHAM docent
  • Being a docent is not your normal volunteer position because you never know just what the day might bring you, that is why I love it. You have to be open to what ever comes in the door.
Today way one of those exciting days with a  total of 22 visitors, 14 of them were first time visitors and of those 14 - four of them became members Whoooohooooo ...and one person took the application   with her and wants to bring her daughter in to check us out.  12 of the visitors came to see the equine vision show that they heard or read about. All the visitors where quite amazed at what WHAM  has to offer. Most people when they walk into WHAM they are not quite sure what to expect. That is the best part of being the Docents. We welcome them and inform them of all that WHAM does for the artists & the community. Most people say they are so glad they stopped in to see such a great place for the arts. With 4 new memberships and sold 2 pieces of art, plus collected $125.00  in donation to the Equine Visions show. I'll say I had one busy & exciting day.
