Past Events
“Art is Alive in Surprise” Workshop at The West Valley Art Museum, , May 30 May 3lst, ages 12 to adults participated. They paid only $7.00 per participant to experience Clay, Watercolors, Mixed Media, Metal Art or Glass Art. After the Workshop many signed up for a 3-4 week class of their choice. At the end of the classes they had a beautiful piece of art and it was displayed at the Museum in a Community Exhibit in July.
WHAM and West Valley Art Museum are in partnership to provide a first of it’s kind community art workshop in the greater Northwest Valley. More and more, communities across our region are stretched for creative public resources. Declining funding for arts education has forced schools to cut art programs, while shrinking budgets prevent libraries and recreation centers from offering visual-arts programs of their own.
WHAM and the West Valley Art Museum aim to fill the artistic void in our community – not only to promote the visual arts themselves, but; to build wider skills that help students thrive in all areas, and help promote civic vitality. While Art activities can’t solve all the economic, social and educational problems of today, it can give members of a community a positive sense of identity and bridge social barriers in society.
Art Washes away from the soul
the dust of everyday life.

Enriching Life Through Art- AAA Fountain Hills, AZ.
WHAM is now a member of The Arizona Art Alliance which is a fine arts organization comprised of 23 individual art organizations throughout Arizona. AAA sponsors 2 large sale & Expo events a year that require artists to be juried into to participate. This fall the AAA show was at Fountain Hills, AZ. This event took place at the same time as the well publicized annual Festival of Arts, on November 14-16, and expected 200,000 visitors. Several WHAM members have gone through the jury process and did show at this event. (See pictures below).

Art Walk at Sun City Festival
WHAM collaborated with the Pulte 'Beatles Mania' event, by showing their fine art in each of the nine model homes. Each home had two artists with their work displayed throughout the homes. Over 18,000 people attended this event and many purchased WHAM's member's artwork. " What a great way to show art.", said many of the participants.
Below are several pictures of this event:

Fine Art Show at Sun City Festival
This event took place Nov.17, 2007 in the community Center at Pulte's development Sun City Festival, Buckeye. This show was a collaboration between WHAM and Art League West to exhibit fine arts at Pulte's "Wine and Wellness" event.
Pulte spent $80,000 advertising this event to showcase their "55 Plus" upscale community. There were 22 artists showing their work from sculpture, pottery, painting, glass, multi-media, and metal art.
Many WHAM members felt it gave them a good exposure to the local area and helped introduce the public to Fine Arts.
Here are some of the Artist's displays at the show:
